Some Enchanted Evening June 4, 2011 Forty years ago in June, 1971, we, the Class of 1971, took our walk across the stage on a sunny evening on the front lawn of Loudoun County High School to receive our Diplomas. After spending 5 glorious years together tromping through the halls of Loudoun County High School with teachers and principals trying to keep us in line, we promised never forget each other. In August of 2001, the alumni meet for a 30th class reunion. We met, we hugged, we laughed, and we cried with joy, we had 3 glorious days together. At the end of the weekend, we said our sad goodbyes and made promises to keep in touch and promise to meet up in 5 years. Though the 5 year mark passed us by, here we are at our 40th year, children grown, some grandchildren grown and we are coming up on the opportunity to meet and fellowship once more. Sadly, we have lost a few more classmates since our last meeting. We reminisce on those we have lost but look ahead as we prepare to meet up with those of us who are available and able to attend our 40th year as alumni of Loudoun County High School. The date has been set and the theme is in place. The Theme for this reunion is “Some Enchanted Evening” as we prepare for one more “Senior Prom” at our old Alma Mater. Yes that is right; we are going to the prom at Loudoun County High School. In an effort to keep cost down, Dinner will be optional at a restaurant in Leesburg. All further information detailed on next pages of this notice.
